Pirate Apple AppStore to offer try before you buy service

Hackulous, the community that is best known for its web-based index of cracked iPhone apps Apptrakr and Installous which allows those apps to be installed on jailbroken iPhones, keeps innovating. Their latest work is Installous 4 and it’s set to revolutionize the way iOS device users install apps on their beloved gadgets.

The main new thing of this release of Installous is that it will simplify the process of patching, testing, uploading and submitting apps to Apptrakr. The new process is described as a “reverse BitTorrent”, allowing (and even prompting) users to submit new apps that are still not available in Apptrakr’s database. As a result, it is expected that Apptrakr grows exponentially during the next few months.

“Essentially what will happen is when you’re using Installous you’ll get a little pop up that says ‘Hey, you have an application that Apptrakr doesn’t. We will add the application to a queue in the background (if you say yes) and it will start uploading tiny pieces of it, kind of like a torrent, up to the cloud’,” Hackulous admin Dissident explains.

You should know that Hackulous community is not all about piracy. Rather their goal is to provide users with a try-before-you-buy trial service which Apple for some reason failed to implement.

In the other Hackulous news, the same service is being in development for the upcoming Mac App Store. Love it! ;)
