The HTC HD2 is turning into a new darling of the hacking community. The device which we’ve already seen running Android 2.2 Froyo and 2.3 Gingerbread has been caught while singing along nicely with MeeGo 1.1.

Although we don’t advise you take this route (cause it could kill your warranty) a brave (and knowledgeable) among you (presuming you own the HD2) could give it a try. If there’s no other reason – it’s the joy of learning and experimenting. Let’s face it – there’s no point to have the HD2 run MeeGo except for showing off. The platform is still young and it lacks quite a few apps.

If that doesn’t bother you, proceed to XDA-Developers forums and dig your way out of Windows Mobile. Just don’t say we haven’t warned you about the warranty. ;)
