Quick, how many of you out there have done the whole “walk and text” thing at some point in your life? Bet you never thought walking and texting at the same time could grant you instant internet pseudo-fame – did you? Well, thanks to some shopping mall security tapes, one lucky girl gets her share of today’s 15-minutes of internet fame. The video below shows some random girl texting and walking herself right into a water fountain at the Berkshire Mall. The multiple camera angles are just extra hilarious.
Turns out, it really isn’t all that easy to bang out a text message while walking down the street (or mall, or hallway, etc.). People have gotten hurt doing it. It’s not just texting and driving that’ll get you, your own two feet can get you into a lot of trouble if you fail to pay attention to what’s in front of you.
We’re not sure what had the girl in the below video so distracted that she didn’t see the large body of water that was obviously blocking her intended path, but we’re pretty darn sure she’ll start watching where she’s going from now on.
At least her identity isn’t revealed in the tape!
