The HTC Flyer tablet is more likely than ever to hit Sprint as the EVO View 4G, now that there’s been a recent trademark application for the name.

We’re expecting Sprint to unveil the WiMAX version of the HTC Flyer at CTIA in a few short weeks, complete with a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, 1.5 GHz processor, 5 megapixel and 1.3 megapixel camera, 32 GB of storage, Android 2.4 Gingerbread, and a capacitive-friendly stylus. Take a look at our hands-on video to see the Flyer in action.

The overall reaction to the HTC Flyer wasn’t exactly great, but in the little amount of time that I got to see it at MWC, it seemed like a good counterpoint to the Motorola Xoom, which some might consider a little too big. The pen/stylus/thingie is a pretty neat twist and something of a necessity for folks working in particular fields.

There is the off-chance that the HTC EVO View 4G is something else altogether, but I doubt it – what do you guys think?
