Angry Birds Rio now available in Amazon Appstore

Amazon Appstore for Android is now live! Ever since we cleared the last stage at the St. Patrick’s Day update to the Angry Birds Seasons, we desperately waited for this moment. Yup, Angry Birds Rio is, as promised, available for download. The bad news is that you have to be a U.S. resident to access the store, but if that’s not the problem – go for it. The game is free to download, but that will change starting from tomorrow – so you better hurry.

As part of its efforts to get people to use their app store, Amazon promised to serve one usually-paid app for free each day. I doubt this practice will last forever, but for the time being you should take advantage of the online retailer’s neat offering.

Expect the standard awesome Amazon shopping experience with your Android app purchases. There are around 3,800 apps included at the moment, which you can download either using a dedicated mobile app or through a web interface. The latter includes a 30-minute Test Drive facility, from where you can try out an app before purchasing. Not sure how it works, but it does sound cool.

What are you waiting for – here’s a link to the Amazon’s Appstore. Bookmark it now! :)
