Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy Tab available for $199.99 starting April 3

Starting tomorrow, April 3rd, Sprint will offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab for $199.99, which is $100 less than the original price of $299.99. Similarly the off-contract price will be slashed too, from $499.99 to $429.99.

The idea seems to clear out the stock now when the HTC View 4G has been announced. Moreover, the carrier may also add additional tablets to its offering, some of which will definitely come with dual-core processors, like the Motorola Xoom.

The way I see it, now is not the time to go for the Android 2.2-powered tablet, considering that such a device may never get the Android 3.0 Honeycomb update. Then again, you may not need all of the advanced features Google’s tablet-specific platform offers…

Anyway, if you do fancy the Galaxy Tab and are willing to commit on a two-year contract from Sprint, mark Sunday in your calendar…
