March for Babies for iPhone

The leading NGO for pregnancy and baby health March of Dimes launched an iPhone app just in time for the 2011 March for Babies, which is the organization’s largest fundraiser, held the last weekend in April in more than 900 communities nationwide.

Available as a free download, the application links March of Dimes supporters directly to their own personal fundraising page, automatically syncing with the participant’s profile on the March for Babies fundraising page and allowing supporters to manage their account while on the go. Participants are able to personalize a profile with a story and photo, view other teammate’s pages and receive updates on online donations. Moreover, there’s the option to send emails to thank donors directly from within the app.

This year, March for Babies’ goal is to raise more than $106 million to support research and community-based programs that help moms have full-term, healthy babies. An iPhone app could certainly help this noble goal and yes we encourage you to participate…
