CNN app for Nokia (Symbian) smartphones has been recently released in the Ovi Store, allowing users to get the latest news and articles across 12 categories, watch video on demand on CNN Live (when available), and use CNN’s iReport citizen journalism features. Like that’s not enough, Nokia is working on an enhanced version of the application for Symbian^3 phones (like the N8, C6-01, C7, C7 Astound, E7 and X7) that will also include breaking news to the mix. Relying on Ovi Notifications with an audible tone, CNN app for Nokia 1.1 will alert users the second something interesting happens in the world.
In addition, the upcoming release will also bring performance improvements and fix some of the known bugs. I’m saying “upcoming” but you can already download CNN for Nokia 1.1, presuming you own a compatible Symbian^3 device.
