WiFi-only Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 goes on sale at noon, June 8th at Best Buy’s Union Square store in New York City

The WiFi-only Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will go on sale at noon on June 8 at the Best Buy’s Union Square store in New York City. The first 200 people to purchase the tablet will get a free leather case, valued at $29.99. Moreover, if you happen to be among the first 50 to commit their hard-earned cash to buying Sammy’s device, you’ll also get VIP access to a concert by Grammy Award-Winning Hip-Hop Artist Ne-Yo.

Here’s the agenda for the day:

  • 12:00 p.m. Sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Begin
  • 4:00 p.m. Samsung, Best Buy and Ne-Yo Remarks
  • 4:15 p.m. Live Performance by Hip-Hop Artist Ne-Yo
  • 4:30 p.m. Autographs

As for the rest of the country, they’ll have to wait for June 17th to be able to grab the Galaxy Tab 10.1 from “participating retail locations.” The 32GB version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi edition will be available for $599, while the 16GB version will retail for $499.

Finally, Mike Vitelli (president of Best Buy Americas) and Tim Baxter (president of Samsung Electronics America) will present a check for $25,000 to Ne-Yo’s philanthropic organization, The Compound Foundation.
