Nokia released a new software update for the X6, its first Symbian S60 5th Edition smartphone with a capacitive touchscreen. Firmware version 32 (or 3.2) brings several performance enhancements while at the same time making the device more stable than ever. In other words, many (if not all) of the known/reported bugs have been fixed and some of the apps updated.
Presuming you own the Nokia X6, go to “Settings” -> “Tools” -> “Software update” or dial *#0000#, hit “Options” -> “Check for update” and take it from there. It is advisable to do this with your battery fully charged and while in a hotspot (so that the download is fast).
Before proceeding make sure to backup all of your data, just in case something goes wrong. Even though this process is pretty safe, it’s a good idea to have your contacts and calendars stored locally on your computer, and if possible in the cloud.
