Meetings are boring but necessary. We all know that. Cisco’s WebEx has been a good way to conduct meetings with people all over the world and the company has just introduced a lower-cost package that should be perfect for small and medium businesses. The best thing is that the mobile apps are included.

The new package will cost $19 a month and it will let you host unlimited meetings with up to 8 people involved. This is a nice reduction from the standard $49 a month package which includes meetings for up to 25 people.

One of the neat things about WebEx is using the software on a mobile device or especially on an iPad 2. I tested this out recently and it includes full screen sharing, video conferencing and well-thought out touch design. Look for the video portion to soon come to the iPhone and other platforms.

The meeting space is a vital and vibrant industry and it has been supercharged with tablets and smartphones changing the way we can attend meetings. WebEx is definitely the king of this market right now but companies like Fuze are vying for the crown.
