Déjà Vu app adds image recognition capability to Evernote

If you’re a regular Evernote user like me, you’ll love Déjà Vu. Developed by the image recognition specialists from kooaba, this iPhone app is made to extend your visual memory by labeling and categorizing some of the memos automatically.

Once integrated with Evernote, Déjà Vu will create a dedicated notebook, syncing all of the memos there, meta-data included. This process is done without user’s involvement, filling tags with proper categories while also including the image description field.

As you probably already know from all those Evernote articles, I love Evernote and I use it both for text and image notes such as business cards and wine labels. Audio notes, although supported by the popular note-taking service, are just not “my thing.” And I would gladly try out Déjà Vu if it’s available for Android. Unfortunately it isn’t and I/we can only hope kooaba will launch a mobile app for all those smartphones running Google’s mobile OS in the near future. Can’t wait…
