You may don’t like the auto-lock feature of the iPhone. A single minute may not be enough for you. Guess what – you can change that timing, setting it up to 5 minutes or turn it off altogether. If you opt for the latter option (“Never” auto-lock), you’ll have to manually turn off the screen before putting the iPhone in your pocket.
Anyway, here’s how to change this setting:
- Open “Settings”
- Tap on “General”
- Tap “Auto-Lock”
Here you’ll be able to set the time lapse between you not touching the screen and the screen turning off. Available options include 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 minutes, as well as “Never.” We do advise you NOT to select “Never” but something like 2 or 3 minutes. The screen is one of the most power hungry parts of the iPhone and is thus suggested to be turned off from time to time. What’s more, by not doing so [turning off the screen], you risk increasing your phone bill with pocket calling…
