Thanks to the SprintFeed ninjas, we know Sprint will soon add HTC Evo 4G and Kyocera Echo to its End of Life (EOL) list. HTC’s baby has been on the market for almost a year and a half, bringing tons of new subscribers to the “Now” network in the process. The white version will stop being ordered this week, and the black one in early October.
As for the Echo, we’re kinda surprised it hit the list in just five months. I guess it hasn’t met the expectations, and we hope that won’t discourage Kyocera (and other handset makers for that matter) from pursuing innovative phone form factors. I really dig what the Japanese company has made, producing a slider phone with two touchscreens.
As for the other devices on the EOL list, there’s also the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and Sanyo Innuendo, both of which are there for a reason – i.e. no one wants them anymore…
