The claim is that the iPhone 20 Pro could bump up to a 6.4-inch display, while the Pro Max goes all the way to 7 inches. For reference, right now the Pro sits at 6.3 inches and the Pro Max at 6.9 inches. So we’re talking a meaningful jump, not just a rounding error.
The timing matters here. Apple is expected to drop the iPhone 20 lineup in September 2027, just a few months after the company marks the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone launch on June 29, 2007. That’s a milestone Apple would absolutely want to make a statement with. A bigger screen and a bold new design feel like exactly the kind of moves you make when you’re trying to remind the world that you invented the modern smartphone.
