Earlier this month, news of a new Fruit Ninja game was released, although it wasn’t an official sequel or anything along those lines. Instead, the new Fruit Ninja game would star Puss in Boots as you slice up wave after wave of fruit. If you’ve been looking to add some latin, swash-buckling flavor to your Fruit Ninja, then you’ll be happy to hear Halfbrick has released Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots for both the iPhone and iPad.

You might ask yourself, “How is this game any different from Fruit Ninja?” Well, first off, you play as Puss in Boots, so that should already up the “Want” level of this game. If that’s not good enough, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots features two new modes: Desperado and Bandito. Still need more of a reason to pick up this game? How about the fact that nearly everything Halfbrick publishes is pure gold and the iPhone game is only $.99, while the iPad version is $1.99?

Either way, I know you love Fruit Ninja. You know you love Fruit Ninja. So click on the iTunes link to your iOS device of choice and get slicing!
