TED Talks have been available to view on the iPad for over a year, but if you’d like to keep watching while on the go, you can now catch the inspirational talks on iPhone now too. You can bookmark videos for later viewing, browse and share talks over Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail, as well as download videos over Wi-Fi onto your iPhone for offline viewing. If you don’t have an iPad, you can also shunt the videos to your TV over AirPlay. Talks usually run about 5 minutes, but can go much longer, so if you can’t devote all of your attention to a video, you can always crack open the new TED Radio option, which is continually streaming audio talks.
Although TED technically stands for “Technology Entertainment Design”, the subject matter of the talks runs the gamut – ecology, biology, music, gaming, everything. Here’s a smattering of mobile-related TED talks, after which you can find a link to the new, free app. Just keep in mind that you need to be running iOS 4.3 and up.
