You may think of Belkin as just routers and the occasional iPad case but after touring its booth at CES 2012, I came away impressed with how it is thinking about how mobile can make your life easier in your house.

If you have a small child, the Belkin-made Evoz digital monitor is a smart way to keep an ear on what’s happening, as well as track your child’s sleeping patterns. There were also multiple WiFi-connected smart plugs which will let you use a smartphone app to turn virtually anything off.

Another neat thing I noticed was an iPad stand specifically for the kitchen. I believe that the iPad and tablets make for great cooking companions but I’m always afraid of getting food stuff all over it. Belkin created a machine-washable stylus to take care of that issue. Take a look for yourself.
