Amazon UK is now selling the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Nexus for 449.41 GBP, which is some 50 GBP off the phone’s launch price. That’s still a lot of money (about $707) and the reason why we don’t call it a “hot deal” but only “deal.” However, it’s a well known fact that Europeans are used to paying more for their gadgets — except when they get a phone with a carrier contract, that is.

So if you can’t wait any longer and want the world’s first Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone sans any strings attached, proceed to this page at Amazon UK and take it from there.

As a reminder, aside from boasting Android 4.0, the Galaxy Nexus also comes with a 4.65-inch 720p screen, 5-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing one (for video calls), HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, NFC, dual-core processor, and so on.
