Adobe released an advisory bulletin about several particularly nasty security vulnerabilities that let an attacker gain control over a person’s device. In addition to the desktop version of Flash, the vulnerability affects Android users on both Android 3.x and 4.x. The versions affected include Flash Player version 11.1.112.61 and earlier on Android 4.x devices and Flash Player 11.1.111.5 and earlier for Android 3.x. You can check your version of Flash by going to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Adobe Flash Player x.x. You can update Flash by visiting the Android Market and updating to the latest version.
This vulnerability also affects the desktop version of Flash Player for Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Solaris. This vulnerability has been spotted in the wild in an attack that target Internet Explorer users on Windows. You can read all the details on the advisory bulletin at Adobe’s website.
