Acer Iconia Tab A100, A500 getting Ice Cream Sandwich in mid-April

Acer has already started rolling out Android 4.0 updates for the Iconia Tab A200, but what about other tablets made by the Taiwanese company? Well, they’ll get the same update, too.

Acer has turned to Twitter to spread the good news about the Iconia Tab A100 and A500 (and we guess their variations), promising the Ice Cream Sandwich servings in mid-April.

It’s good to see smartphone and tablet makers committing to continually update their products. Heck, we were especially surprised to see the somewhat forgotten Iconia Tab A100 included in the list. It’s still a pretty solid 7-inch tablet, though its sales are not meeting anyone’s expectations, to say the least…
