Facebook buys Instagram – What you think

In a rather unexpected bit of news, Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion this morning and we asked you lovely readers what you thought of the deal. You’ll find the answers below thanks to Storify.

Instagram was about 551 days old at the time of the acquisition and it could be the first billion-dollar app purchase (not 100 percent sure on that one). What’s clear is that the mobile revolution is real and can be quite lucrative if you have the right pieces.

    If the $1B number is correct, that’s crazy.  Good for Instagram for knowing when to get out though, I doubt they would have ever seen a bigger exit than that.
