File this under rumors, but it’s likely that some retailers in Canada will get the sexy new Samsung smartphone before carriers get their hands on it. The official word from the Korean company is that the new device is coming “this summer” but that’s pretty vague, leaving a ton of room for speculation.
MobileSyrup got hold of a leaked ad — which was pulled later on — suggesting that Best Buy may get a head start. Future Shop also said it will have the Galaxy S III as soon as it’s available in the country, though we’re not sure they’ll get the exclusive window, too.
But that’s not all – pre-order date is also rumored, and if MobileSyrup’s sources are right, our Canadian readers will be able to secure their unit starting from May 30th.
It is said that pretty much all Canadian carriers will offer Sammy’s flagship smartphone, including TELUS, Bell, WIND, Videotron, SaskTel, Mobilicity, Virgin Mobile and Rogers — so it will be up to you to shop around and pick the plan that suits your needs best. 😉
