Photographs sent to 9to5Mac show a Moscone West covered in Apple regalia for WWDC. Besides the traditional Apple logo, some banners being hung have iOS 6 emblazoned on their size. The signage for “the world’s most advanced mobile operating system” all but guarantees that a portion of WWDC will be spent discussing the next version of iOS.
This revelation doesn’t come as a surprise. In the past, the developers conference has been used to unveil new versions of iOS. Just last year, Steve Jobs took to the stage and introduced iOS 5 with its new notification center and Siri.
Besides iOS 6, Apple will likely announce the launch date of OS X Mountain Lion.Though many expect to see new Mac hardware, details on the next generation iPhone probably won’t be unveiled. You can read our WWDC preview and iOS 6 wish list for additional details. Be sure to come back on Monday for our coverage of the WWDC keynote which starts at 10 am PT.
