If everyone can have its own UI, why would Huawei be any different? Their brand new Emotion UI will soon be ready for download for select devices, including Huawei Honor, Huawei Ascend P1, and Huawei Ascend P1E, with D quad models most likely shipping with the new UI pre-installed. The coming soon (download) page is already live, telling us what to expect.

As you can imagine (from what other UIs are offering), Huawei’s software supports customizable homescreens and animations. Moreover, it comes with a comprehensive help system that “allows entry-level users to get started,” access to Huawei’s cloud service, support for customizable Chinese characters and “intelligent contact finder.” But that’s not all – as part of the UI, Huawei is also bundling a Siri-like voice assistant, which at the moment is limited to Chinese language though we’ve no doubts it will be “westernized” before D quad launches in Europe and North America. Actually, the whole Emotion UI is a China-only affair now and has yet to be translated into other languages…

Apple is going to sue them. There are too many similarities in UI.
