Twilio API gets international SMS support

The leader in cloud communications Twilio announced that international SMS capabilities are live and functional across Twilio’s 100,000+ developers. One of the most-requested features enables developers to make apps and web services that have the ability to send SMS with worldwide termination in over 150 countries and potentially reach over 2 billion people globally.

The new capability is also multi-lingual with support for a variety of character encodings, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and even Emoji where supported by operators and handsets. These expanded features continue to use the same easy to use API…

Now we expect all those apps that rely on Twilio’s API to get more international features and eventually a larger user base…
