While it’s been a badly kept secret, T-Mobile officially confirmed that it will indeed be picking up the Samsung Galaxy Note in a recent tweet. And that’s about it. Pricing nor availability were confirmed, but we could imagine it will be landing in Magenta stores (much like its accessories) in the coming weeks.
The Galaxy Note is quite an interesting device, even if it’s just a smartphone with a stylus and a larger display. Samsung has provided a nice experience with the Note and just recently optimized some of the S-Pen applications with the new Premium Suite, of which we would assume will be shipping with T-Mobile’s variant.
With rumors swirling around that Samsung is set to announce the 2nd-generation Galaxy Note sometime in the next few months, that could translate to a more attractive subsidized price when T-Mobile makes the device available. That said, AT&T still has the Note priced at $249 with a new contract, so we’ll jut have to wait and see if T-Mobile will keep the handset above the $200 mark. Our bet is that it will, but we can remain hopeful, can’t we?
T-Mobile promises that more details are on their way, so back to the waiting game for now.
