Evernote has once again updated its Android app, this time to make sure it looks awesome on tablets — in case you wonder, it renders perfectly on 7-inch models like the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire.

Right off the bat you’ll notice the new home screen from where you can easily create a new note or browse existing ones by notebooks, tags or places. Swipe gestures are supported as well, allowing simple navigation between various screens. For instance, you can swipe the note list to make it full-screen or swipe it in the opposite direction to bring back the left panel.

In the note list view, you’ll see that the shape of the note thumbnails has been changed and the text contrast in the titles – improved. Moreover, there’s the new List View that shows basic information about the note in a single list including title, tags, text snippets, attachments and the date.

Aside from tablet-specific updates, there are also improvements for all Android users like support for sublists and faster slideshows…

Evernote remains a free app and if you still haven’t got it, do it now. You’ll thank me later. 😉
