Remember the Samsung Omnia M, the Korean-company’s entry-level Windows Phone device? Last time we talked about it, we saw it at one Italian website and now it’s heading to the UK with Unlocked Mobiles taking pre-orders as we speak. The phone retailer is asking 249.98 GBP (about $391) for the unlocked phone, saying that shipments will start on August 27th. That’s pretty steep pricing for a smartphone as “capable” as Omnia Minuet as it is called on the site.

Specs wise, this particular Sammy Windows Phone comes with a 1GHz single-core processor, just 384MB of RAM, 5-megapixel camera, 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA screen, HSPA, Wi-Fi and 4GB of built-in memory. In other words, we’re talking about a phone that sits somewhere between the Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 710, both of which cost less to buy. Does Samsung thinks its brand is so powerful that users will pay such a premium? Or this is an offer for suckers only? In any case, you can check out the Omnia M(inuet) from this page at Unlocked Mobiles but while there please don’t spend your hard-earned cash; there are other, better phones out there…
