Verizon has announced its plans to update all HTC Trophy handsets with the latest Windows Phone offering, Tango (version 7.5 MCR3). The handset has one more update on the horizon (Windows Phone 7.8), and the Tango update will prep users for the last version the handset will ever see, which should land sometime later this year.

Big Red published a PDF document explaining new features that’ll be in the Tango update. These new additions will include WiFi Hotspot, Internet sharing and enhanced multimedia messaging capabilities (multiple photos, videos, ringtones). Until then, users should remain patient, as they can expect to get a notification on their handsets when the update is available in the Zune Desktop software.

HTC Trophy owners out there, are you excited to get your hands on Tango?
