HTC Rezound finally gets Ice Cream Sandwich update

It’s been a long wait for HTC Rezound owners but it’s over now. You should be able to grab the latest update for your smartphone and join millions of Ice Cream Sandwich users all around the world. The 299 MB-heavy download brings firmware version to 3.14.605.12, and aside from Android 4.0.4 and new version of HTC Sense UI, there is also a number of other changes included, such as:

  • V CAST Media Manager has been updated to Backup Assistant Plus with an enhanced user experience.
  • Time zone issues have been resolved and proper Timezone will display within the Clock Widget.
  • Device is enabled with the Wireless Alerting System.
  • Cisco AnyConnect support has been added to improve VPN functionality.
  • Improved data connectivity for a better user experience.
  • Improve device stability minimizes the number of resets.
  • Improvements to Mobile Hotspot connectivity.
  • Improvements to default mail application now displays all Yahoo! mail contents properly

So what are you waiting for. Connect to a fast Wi-Fi hotspot and check for updates. Even if you don’t see the new software, don’t worry – it’s coming any day now. ;)

    My Rezound works better now, but I was a little disappointed that the apps interface was unchanged. I like the horizontal scroll on some other ICS enabled phones look and feel better than the vertical scroll on the rezound. Still, it’s an improvement
