Nokia working on a Windows Phone device with rotating camera a la 5700 XpressMusic?

Nokia is apparently working to re-use some of its “old” designs for upcoming Windows Phone devices. The rumor is that we may see a smartphone that looks like the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic unveiled at some point in September. The rotating camera is said to have an 8-megapixel sensor and we also hope for the optical zoom (there’s definitely room for something like that). Moreover, it should have dedicated media playback keys, Clear Black AMOLED display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor.

But that’s not all. It is said that the Finnish company may re-start its N-Gage series, this time relying on the Windows Phone platform rather than Symbian.

One thing is certain – interesting times are ahead of us as we may see Nokia getting back to the scene, big time. That, of course, presumes enough people will be interested to try out (and buy) Windows Phone 8 devices. We’ll see how that goes…

Please keep in mind that these are just rumors. As we know, in terms of pending smart phone technology, these rumors seldom come into fruition.
