Looks like Virgin Mobile won’t be the only carrier in the U.S. to offer the Samsung Montage with Sprint (Virgin’s parent company) also preparing to add it to its portfolio. And while we don’t know when that will happen exactly, we did notice the device getting a dedicated page and new name (Samsung Array) at Samsung’s website.
If you recall, we’re talking about a feature phone that packs both a numerical keypad and side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, making it ideal for heavy texters on a budget. Additionally, the Montage/Array also has a 2-megapixel camera, QVGA screen, Bluetooth, while Qualcomm’s 480MHz QSC6155 CPU is running the show.
We’ll let you know when Sprint officially announces the phone; in the meantime — starting from August 20 — you will be able to get it from Virgin Mobile for $49.99.
