NAVIGON has updated its Windows Phone app to make it on par with its iOS and Android offerings. New version of the application(s) come with few handy features which provide users with a better navigation experience.
First, there’s Traffic Check that informs drivers of current traffic conditions with an easy-to-read gage graphic appearing after entering a destination. The gage indicates traffic conditions with a green, yellow and red field. Three small icons also let the driver know about the number of different types of traffic incidents.
Bing integration is a second major thing, allowing users to select any address found in Bing search, open the NAVIGON app and get turn-by-turn directions.
Finally, with the NAVIGON FreshMaps, users get the latest maps every three months for a period of two years. FreshMaps uses NAVTEQ-based maps which are well-known for their accuracy. The service is available for $39.99 and will be offered at a reduced price of $24.99 until August 30, 2012…
