A report from MacRumors suggests Apple is making room in its retail store for the iPad. According to their European sources, Apple resellers are being told to increase the table space set aside for the iPad. Some retailers are reportedly tripling the amount of store real estate they are using to display the company’s iPad models. Resellers are moving out the Mac Pro and Mac mini models to give them this extra room.

Though this iPad initiative started three months ago, sources tell MacRumors that these changes must be made by September 12, a timing which corresponds to the date of Apple’s rumored Fall event. Apple is expected to use this event to announce the new iPhone and a smaller iPad. This timing may be coincidental, though, as MacRumors also hints the changes may be due to the popularity of the current iPad and not a strategy to make room for a new model.
