Starting September 5th, T-Mobile will offer a new Unlimited Nationwide 4G data plan which includes no data caps or throttling limits. The new plan will cost $20 each month when paired with a Value voice and text plan or $30 when it is added to a classic voice and text plan. T-Mobile says its new Unlimited is for “data-hungry users and those that want the peace of mind of never having to keep track of their data usage.”

The plans offer true unlimited data and won’t limit or throttle users who use an excessive amount of data. As a trade-off for unlimited usage, customers will lose the ability to use their phones as a mobile hotspot. This ensures all the data is derived from the phone itself and not an external device like a tablet or laptop.

Customers can upgrade to the plan starting September 5th. The service is compatible with the carrier’s HSPA+ network, but it is unclear whether this offer will extend to T-Mobile’s upcoming LTE network.
