Samsung opens a minimalist looking store like someone else we know (cough, Apple)

While the jury deliberates on a final verdict between Samsung v. Apple, the Korean based manufacturer found the time to open an Apple-like retail store in Australia. The company basically took cues from the minimalist approach the iPhone maker is famous for. You know, the one that’s perfectly fit for a person who’s compulsively obsessed with cleanliness. In the new store you’ll see a spartan layout along with the notorious open floor plan.

It’s important to know Apple didn’t invent this style (as many fanboys out there may want to think), but it’s no denying that the company at least made it cool. In fact, that’s what Apple is so legendary for, which is making concepts that were already out before trendy and relevant. Even better, Samsung plans to have its own customer service experts called “Samsung Smart Tutors” that recalls Apple’s Genius Bar.

That said, there are subtle differences between Sammy’s new store and Apple retailer chains around the world, but it’s hard for the average consumer to believe some copying didn’t serve as some sort of inspiration for the store design. Regardless, people will still buy Samsung’s products, as the Galaxy S III is still one of the hottest phones out there.
