Apple and Samsung release official statements regarding trial verdict.

It’s been a long ride, friends. A ride that’s nowhere near being over. In a sweeping victory in favor of Apple, both companies have released  official statements regarding the verdict.

They go a little something like this.

“We are grateful to the jury for their service and for investing the time to listen to our story and we were thrilled to be able to finally tell it. The mountain of evidence presented during the trail showed that Samsung’s copying went far deeper than even we knew. The lawsuits between Apple and Samsung were about much more than patents or money. They were about values. At Apple, we value originality and innovation and pour our lives into making the best products on earth. We make these products to delight our customers, not for our competitors to flagrantly copy. We applaud the court for finding Samsung’s behavior willful and for sending a loud and clear message that stealing isn’t right.”

“Today’s verdict should not be viewed as a win for Apple, but as a loss for the American consumer. It will lead to fewer choices, less innovation, and potentially higher prices. It is unfortunate that patent law can be manipulated to give one company a monopoly over rectangles with rounded corners, or technology that is being improved every day by Samsung and other companies. Consumers have the right to choices, and they know what they are buying when they purchase Samsung products. This is not the final word in this case or in battles being waged in courts and tribunals around the world, some of which have already rejected many of Apple’s claims. Samsung will continue to innovate and offer choices for the consumer.”

Just so we’re clear: Samsung and Android aren’t going anywhere, and you can be rest assured of two things now. Appeals court is on its way, and this isn’t the last lawsuit from Apple and other Android manufacturers.

right from start I knew the jury would fail in favor to apple, they will protect their american company rather than make a fair trial with a foreign company. Sadly for apple, samsung phones are already established and they cant stop that, nor the law suit that is coming from motorola.

I read that the reason Samsung did not settle out of court with Apple was because Apple charged too much money in their eyes for them to use  technology Apple said is theirs. the next question is how much restitution will Samsung have to pay Apple and will Samsung pay Apple the huge royalty fees to use it’s patents. this could cause Android smart phones to coast a fortune. Folks now you understand why Microsoft now uses’s windows “NT” OS derived Windows “8”  to run it’s smart phones. and Intel Windows tablet Computers. Microsoft created and patented this NT OS and can use it to run mobile devices and desktop/laptop/Server computers without having to worry about Apple suing them over using it
