In addition to the Android-based One X+ and One VX, AT&T announced this morning that they’ll also carry the Windows Phone 8X, HTC’s flagship Windows Phone 8 device set to launch in early November. The Windows Phone 8X comes in a variety of colors, though AT&T didn’t announce which color variants it’ll include, and also features Beats Audio integration, a 4.3″ 720p display, and an 8 megapixel camera. AT&T won’t carry an exclusive on the Windows Phone 8X, as the device is rumored to drop on Verizon Wireless as well.

Full specs for the Windows Phone 8X include:

  • 4.3-inch 1280 x 720 Super LCD 2 display with Gorilla Glass 2 coating
  • 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage
  • NFC
  • 1,800 mAh battery
  • LTE
  • Beats Audio
  • 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 lens and ImageSense technology and 1080p video
  • 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with a 88-degree ultra-wide-angle lens and 1080p video

AT&T will likely also sell the Lumia 920, Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 flagship this holiday season, putting the top-notch Windows Phone 8 devices side by side for consumers to decide which best meets their needs. Pricing and availability for the HTC Windows Phone 8X should be announced by AT&T later this month ahead of a November launch.
