Huawei Summit now available from T-Mobile.com for $49

Yesterday we told you about T-Mobile roadmap that includes the Huawei Summit. That device is already available from the Magenta carrier which is selling it for $49 after instant discount of $150.00 and mail-in rebate card worth $50.

As far as I’ve understood, we’re talking about the phone that looks like the Huawei Prism though it doesn’t seem to run Android even though the image on T-Mobile’s website shows the Summit running Google’s mobile OS – we can’t find a single reference on the page suggesting it’s a smartphone.

Specs wise, Huawei’s baby sports a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and a memory card slot. That said, it smells like Android but we can’t really tell and thus can’t recommend you buying one of these. You’re better off paying slightly more to get a better device. It’s your call…
