MetroPCS has announced this morning that they’ll begin offering the Galaxy S III off-contract starting October 22nd. The Galaxy S III will set you back $499.99, though you won’t have to sign the hefty 2-year contract, which could easily be worth the extra $300 you’ll spend up front for the device. Plans range from about $30 to $70 per month for MetroPCS’ LTE plans, so you’ll save quite a bit on service as well.

If you’re in the market for a prepaid Android device, the Galaxy S III simply can’t be beat in terms of features; the S III is arguably the best Android device available on the market today. Those interested in the MetroPCS Galaxy S III can take to MetroPCS stores or their online site starting Monday, though some stores will begin selling it over the weekend.
