Though late to the party, Verizon will soon become the fourth large US carrier to offer carrier billing to customers. Google announced the news on its twitter feed this morning, offering little detail other than the news it’ll be rolling out the service to Verizon customers “over the next few weeks.”The service allows users to purchase apps, games, movies, music, and other content offered on the Google Play Android store and have the charges show up on their monthly phone bill instead of charging a credit/debit card.
It’s good to have choice when it comes to payment options for mobile ecosystem purchases, and Verizon customers will soon have one more option to get their hands on Angry Birds Star Wars.
