As noticed by MacRumors, Apple has added a new Apple Events application to the Apple TV that’ll offer a live stream of today’s iPad mini event. This will be the first live stream since the 2010 Back to the Mac event which was used to unveil OS X Lion and a new version of the MacBook Air.

The Cupertino company is expected to unveil a mini version of the iPad that is rumored to feature a 7.85-inch display, a lightning port and a thin profile. You can watch the event at 10AM PT on your Apple TV and visit us both during and after the event for coverage and commentary on Apple’s big announcement.

Update: Apple just posted a webpage that’ll stream the event live at 10AM. You can access the live stream here.
