Google canceled its big NYC press event, but that doesn’t mean the details on the Nexus 7 won’t stopped being leaked. The latest leak comes from Droid Life and shows an Office Max display with a listing for the 32 GB Nexus 7 tablet. The tag on the display reveals the tablet’s $249 price tag. Right next door to the rumored 32Gb model is the 16GB model which is now priced at $199.

This jump in capacity isn’t surprising given the increased competition in the tablet market. Since Google released the Nexus 7 earlier this year, Amazon has started selling a 16GB Kindle Fire HD for $199 and Apple has announced its 16GB iPad mini for $329. A bump in the specs with the same price tag will help keep the Nexus 7 tablet competitive with these other offerings from Amazon and Apple.
