Microsoft launches Windows Phone app as a Zune client replacement

No longer will you be using Zune for beaming files from your computer to a Windows Phone device (and other way round). Microsoft just released the new Windows Phone app for Windows 8 and Windows RT devices, allowing users to accomplish the same thing with a shiny new interface.

Here’s how Microsoft describes the app:

Your computer and your Windows Phone 8 work together seamlessly with the Windows Phone app so you always have your photos, videos, and music, and more where you want them.
