Like it or not, shopping on mobile devices is growing rapidly. In fact, 1 in 5 apparel consumers are using mobile devices on a daily basis for shopping, and U.S. mobile commerce sales are expected to grow from $6.7 billion this year to $31 billion in 2015.
Even if you’re not shopping on your smartphone, the chances are you’re using some “shopping companion” app. The numbers say it all:
- 45 million smartphone users accessed Shopping app category in June 2012
- Shopping apps are accessed on average of 17 times per month
- 47% of all smartphone users use a shopping app
