Samsung Galaxy Note II hits 3 million units sold worldwide

Samsung announced that sales of the Galaxy Note II have hit 3 million units worldwide, making the device more successful than its predecessor which sales have hit the 10 million mark in August. That’s pretty impressive figure for something that we still consider a niche device and we’re certain the number will go up from here now that several U.S. carriers have picked it up, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and US Cellular.

It’s interesting to compare the figures with the more mainstream Galaxy S III, which reached the 20 million sales mark in its first 100 days on the market. Sure enough, not everyone has that big pockets to carry around the phablet…
