Panasonic launched an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for its Eluga smartphone. The device, which was introduced in Europe and Japan, never managed to impress a critical number of users despite boasting a solid specs sheet along with waterproof and dustproof chassis.

Instead of providing users with “classic” over-the-air update, Panasonic took a different route. In order to get ICS on your Eluga, all you have to do is download a dedicated application from Google Play Store. Once that part is done, fire-up the app and follow the on-screen procedure. It should be pretty straightforward though we haven’t tried it ourselves. Make sure your battery is fully charged and that you’re connected to a fast Wi-Fi hotspot prior to tapping the “update” button. Good luck. ;)
