On the same day as fellow social network Facebook gets a mobile app update, so does Twitter. Nothing major though — both bring some nice new features that incrementally make the experience better. For Twitter’s update, the focus is on the Discover tab, search, and account management.
The Discover tab on the iPhone and iPad now better reflects the update to twitter.com recently that aggregated personalized tweets and automatically expanded all article, photo, and video previews embedded within the tweet. The iOS app will now do the same.
Improved account management comes in this update allowing for the user to reset their password or manage follower requests, which only applies to people who have their accounts set to private in the settings.
Lastly, a stream of photos from tweets across the globe is now present when you type in a word or phrase into the search bar. Plus bug fixes are a given as well.
You can update the Twitter app from the iOS App Store.
