Huawei Ascend W1 launching at CES 2013?

We’ve already told you all we’ve heard about Huawei’s Ascend W1. It will be the Chinese company’s first Windows Phone device with specs that include a 4-inch WVGA screen, dual cameras (5MP on the back, VGA front-facing one), 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage and a memory card slot. In a nutshell, we’re talking about a mid-range smartphone that offers quite a bang for the buck — $310 for an unlocked with such specs sounds like a good deal to us.

When it comes to the launch date, we thought Huawei will bring the W1 to market by the end of this year. That, however, won’t be the case with the new story suggesting we’ll have to wait for next year’s CES. At that time we also hope to see other devices made by the Chinese company unveiled, some of which are pretty impressive (as we said in an earlier post). We’ll let you know when we hear something new on this…
